What's the point?

I get irritated when I need to solve a problem, but can't find the information. I spend hours searching, do a little investigating, and finally come up with a solution. But now I'm the only person on the planet who knows how. And guess what, even though I'll never need to know how to do this particular task ever again, I know someone else will! So I'm going to describe, in as much detail, but as simply as possible, how to do all the stuff I figure out. Next I just need to figure out how to get this blog indexed on Google...
